How to Setup the E-mail and Textual content purpose in MT4

Several traders like to obtain E-mail or Textual content alerts to their telephone when specific price amounts are reached, generating them informed of significant market place actions although they are away from their buying and selling computer system. The MT4 system does not have the capability to ship these messages on its own so we have to set up a third celebration service to do the “sending” for us, and then integrate that service into our buying and selling system. Here are the instructions for environment up your MT4 system to let it to ship e-mail or textual content messages.

  1. Still working. You only need to enable SMTP/IMAP in GMX settings (this is now dissabled as default)

  7. Worked for me. I followed the instructions carefully. Make sure you close down MT4 after you save your info. Then reopen it. sent a message right to my phone. I check my journal and it said test message has been sent. I had setup my Gmail to forward messages to my SMS text. So now I get text notifications as well as email notifications. I'm more concerned with the text notifications because I get instant immediate notifications to check my MT4. Thanks for the instructions. I've been trying this for quiet some time. Regards,

    smtp.mail.yahoo.com:465
    then your yahoo user and password in next field

  17. I'v been trying to do this for a long time. Not much help from the brokers on the "how to do it"-part. Finally I got it to work, thanks to this video

  19. +Darren Wong – Yes, you can enter in your Gmail address in the To field. Any valid email address will work in the To field.

  31. You are wrong, yahoo can do it as well. simpley use smtp.att.yahoo.com:25
