  12. My understanding of this, is this video is pretty dated. The financial industry has attached itself fully to the technology revolution, and as we know technology nowadays changes by the second, so from the information out there, basic requirements needed now to trade are an understanding and knowledge of Math, Physics and Computer languages/programing, (speed trading is all the rage now) a graduate education or Masters degree at a minimum. PHD's have an entry to an interview, but from there your on your own. Also Globalization, in this industry where services are provided worldwide, candidates are available all over the globe. So yea, pretty damn competitive.

  18. Why do people want to work for a Bank that will use them for their own gain? Just trade your own account like the Turtle Traders and you have no upper income limit unlike with an employer. College graduates are so stupid.

  19. He's basically saying that you need EXPERIENCE. You can't just show up and have no actual trading experience but only have a phd in finance or what ever it simply doesn't work that way. So I guess it's better to have best of both trading experience and a degree.

  20. no trading firm is hiring college grads with good track records in trading…they are hiring developers who can write algorithms. they are trading quicker than you can blink and in amounts that no one can compute at the rate they are being executed.
